Dr
Aniruddha Jagannath graduated from Bangalore medical college with
honours and went on to pursue his dream of becoming a neurosurgeon. His
training was at the prestigious NIMHANS for a period of 6 long years.
He
is specialised in Brain and spine related disorders with a special
interest in neuroendoscopy and pediatric neurosurgery. His emphasis is
on accurate diagnosis of the root cause and management. He is
specialized in skull base surgery(pituitary tumors) where the adenoma is
removed through the nose. He also operates on spine with a small
incision (minimally invasive spine surgery) for slip disc and
spondylolysis where the recovery period is short and the incisions are
shorter.
He also operates regularly on brain tumors, both in
adults and children, trigeminal neuralgia with facial pain, cerebral
aneurysms and brachial plexus injuries. He also is an expert in
endoscopic procedures for hydrocephalus in children (ETV). He further
gained knowledge in skull base and endoscopic surgery at Ghent Belgium.
He
is keen to know more and updates his knowledge regularly. He has been a
visiting fellow at Ohio University and aurora neurosciences (USA),
where he had special training in robotic neurosurgery.
