Our History
On 14th November 1999, Rainbow Children's Hospital initiated a transformative journey that reshaped the landscape of pediatric healthcare in India. Starting with a solitary establishment, it has grown into an extensive network spanning 10 Cities, encompassing 26 hospitals and 7 clinics across 6 states in the country. The cities of Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi and Hyderabad host multiple hospitals, while Guwahati, Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Warangal each provide essential medical facilities.
In 2007, a pivotal milestone was reached with the integration of perinatal care services, under "BirthRight by Rainbow Hospitals." This strategic expansion addressed a crucial gap in perinatal care, offering comprehensive support for maternal and infant health. The network's growth reflects Rainbow Children's Hospital's enduring commitment to holistic healthcare, catering to every life stage from birth to early childhood.
Furthermore, in 2019, Rainbow Children's Hospital achieved a significant feat by establishing the Rainbow Children's Heart Institute (RCHI), an exclusive pediatric cardiac center. This centre stands as a testament to the hospital's continual pursuit of excellence and innovation, providing specialized care for children with cardiac conditions.
Most recently, Rainbow Children’s Hospital marked another milestone with the launch of the Child Development Center (CDC) at Hyderabad. This specialized center is dedicated to supporting children with developmental and neurodiverse conditions, ensuring early diagnosis, personalized interventions, and comprehensive care for every child to reach their fullest potential.
Over time, Rainbow Children's Hospital has evolved into a symbol of medical excellence, compassion, and community engagement. Its presence in various cities, the integration of perinatal care services, the inception of RCHI, and BirthRight, all highlight its dedication to fostering a healthier future for children and families across India.

Our strategy is to meet that gap methodically: expanding into markets where we can replicate our clinical model without compromise, deepening our presence in existing ones, and growing BirthRight alongside our hospital network so that a family's journey — from fertility to birth to childhood — can be supported under one standard of care. This is how we intend to build Rainbow into the definitive name in child and family healthcare, nationwide.”
