Recipient of research grants from the Canadian Institute of Health, Department of Biotechnology, ICMR -Indian Council of Medical Research and Recipient of a grant from Sir Ratan Tata trust for educational and training programs in Pediatric Nephrology.

Special interests – Teaching methodologies, development of training programs in Pediatric Nephrology (runs a one-year fellowship program for the last fifteen years in PediatricNephrology for pediatricians – recognized by Rajeev Gandhi University of Health Sciences, State of Karnataka & International Pediatric Nephrology Association; the trainees have established Pediatric Nephrology centers in different parts of the country), development of deceased donor transplant program in Bangalore & India., medical ethics, social aspects of health care.
