Menopause refers to the permanent end of menstruation and a woman is said to have attained menopause 12 months after the last menstrual period.
Menopause can happen in 40s or 50s and is a natural biological process. The physical and emotional symptoms of menopause are different for different women such as irregular sleep patterns, hot flashes, lower energy levels, anxiety, or feelings of sadness and loss.
