She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate training at the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry. She is a Fellow of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FRCOG) and has worked in maternity units across the UK. She has a vast experience of over 30 years in the field of obstetrics and Gynecology. She was an advocate for providing antenatal and gynecological care to retroviral positive women and has worked along with Freedom Foundation between 2002-2004.
