Dr.Brundavani is a clinical nutritionist and dietician with twenty years of experience. She has been associated with the Rainbow Children's Hospital, Hyderabad since 2007.She majored in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and completed Doctoral studies in Nutrition and Human-Body-Composition.

Dr.Brundavani began her career as a post graduate lecturer and worked in World Health Organisation (WHO) projects to determine the protein and amino acid requirements for Indians which are followed as standard guidelines till date. Then, she worked as an Onco-Nutritionist exploring various feeding regimens in the head and neck cancer patients.

After this, she moved her focus to core clinical nutrition for adults and children.She has worked for twelve years in critical care units with transplant nutrition (liver, heart, bone marrow and kidney) and also in chronic diseases (diabetes, renal failure, hypertension, arthritis and gastrointestinal nutrition).

She has published several International papers and is a journal reviewer for two international journals, Annals of Human Biology and Nutrition and Metabolism. She published the first Indian article in European Journal of Clinical Nutrition as to how to measure abdominal fat depots in Indian obese. She has explored feto-maternal nutrition and pediatric nutrition in depth.

Her present areas of work are high risk pregnancies, gestational diabetes, fertility nutrition, lactation diets in children, growth studies, obesity, failure to thrive, eating disorders, anemia, constipation, food allergies, reflux, ketogenic diets, critical care nutrition and much more.
