Despite the awareness about the advanced technologies with high success rate in infertility treatment, couples fail to share their story with friends and family. Inability to conceive naturally inculcate the feeling of shame, guilt and low self-esteem. These negative feelings may lead to varying degrees of depression, anxiety, distress & poor quality of life making susceptible to become part of a high risk group for psychiatric disorders. Focus on the positive is a good way to lower stress. When you are feeling down with anxiety or negativity, focus on things that make you feel grateful. Keeping a gratitude journal is an excellent way to become mindful of appreciating the good things in your life.

Family support-

Family members should be compassionate and understanding, respecting the privacy of couples. Keep in mind that the couple may need time and space to feel the range of thoughts and emotions. Couples can talk with their family members or friends with whom they have comfort level and make them understand how you need to be treated.
