Dr. Mukkavilli Srinivasa Rao is one of the leading Pediatric Surgeons in Visakhapatnam with over 25 years of experience in neonatal surgery, pediatric laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, pediatric urology, and the surgical management of complex congenital anomalies in children. An alumnus of the prestigious Andhra Medical College, he completed his MCh in Pediatric Surgery from Osmania Medical College in 2001, followed by a two-year Senior Residency at PGIMER, Chandigarh. He later established and led the Department of Pediatric Surgery in Jalandhar before returning to Visakhapatnam.
A pioneer in minimally invasive pediatric surgery, Dr. Mukkavilli Srinivasa Rao became the first surgeon to successfully perform laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery on a one-day-old newborn in Visakhapatnam in 2014.
