Dr. Jyothi Prakash Reddy is an accomplished interventional pediatric cardiologist with expertise in advanced echocardiography, complex catheterizations, congenital heart diseases and fetal therapies. He has been practicing as an interventional pediatric cardiologist since September 2015. His interventional expertise includes diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterizations, device closure of simple and complex defects such as ASD, VSD, PDA and AP window, including residual AP window device-on-device closure. He also performs device closure of pulmonary AV fistulas, Abernathy malformations and MAPCAs (collaterals), along with complex coarctation stenting. His balloon intervention experience includes percutaneous balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty, balloon aortic valvuloplasty and balloon coarctoplasty. Palliative interventions include PDA/ductal stenting, RVOT stenting and balloon septostomy, in addition to temporary pacemaker insertions and diagnostic and therapeutic pericardiocentesis. He performs 2D echocardiography across pediatric age groups, including preterm babies, neonates, infants, toddlers and adolescents, as well as adults with congenital cardiac diseases. His imaging expertise includes transesophageal echocardiography, particularly for deviceability assessment in ASD and VSD, and fetal echocardiography. He is experienced in fetal therapies for bradyarrhythmias, tachyarrhythmias and hydrops. He manages congenital and acquired heart diseases, including congestive cardiac failure, cyanotic spells, arrhythmias and pulmonary hypertension. He also contributes to medical education through case discussions with pediatricians, cardiologists, postgraduates, fetal medicine aspirants and consultants, and conducts echocardiography and ECG workshops. His awards and honors include best paper presentation for percutaneous closure of a patent vertical vein with an Amplatzer vascular plug at PCSI, Bangalore, and device closure of residual AP window (device-on-device) at CSI, Frankfurt, Germany.
