Dr.Sirisha Kusuma B is a specialist in Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology and Diabetes.

She received her medical degree (M.B.B.S.) from Andhra Medical College, Vishakhapatnam, and her M.D. in Pediatrics from the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh. She underwent further training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the world-renowned Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada.

Dr. Sirisha Kusuma completed her formal Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology and Diabetes from Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, Bangalore. She also acquired wider experience in the same field by doing an observership at Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, and was part of the fellow school conducted by APEG & APPES (Australasian and the Asia Pacific Pediatric Endocrine societies) in Darwin, Australia. She is also a recipient of ISPAD (International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes)’s Allan-Drash fellowship at Addenbrooke’s Children’s Hospital, Cambridge, UK.

Academic activities:

  • Core Committee member for the IDEAL program: The first dedicated Type 1 diabetes educator course

  • She has been working actively in advocacy projects like increasing awareness about universal new-bornscreening forcongenital hypothyroidism

  • Multiple publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals

  • Presented posters and papers, and is an invited speaker in pediatric endocrine conferences
