Dr. Satyajit Chowhan is a highly skilled and pioneering Fetal Medicine Specialist with a strong foundation in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After completing his post-graduation in OBG in 2009, he worked for five years as a Medical Officer, gaining extensive hands-on experience in a wide range of obstetric and gynecological surgeries, including advanced laparoscopic procedures. Driven by a passion for prenatal care, Dr. Chowhan pursued a two-year Fellowship in Fetal Medicine and earned prestigious certifications from King’s College, London, under the mentorship of Prof. Kypros Nicolaides — a globally renowned expert and the Father of Fetal Medicine.
In 2017, Dr. Chowhan made history by becoming the first specialist to introduce and popularize the field of Fetal Medicine in the entire Northeast region of India. His trailblazing work has transformed the landscape of high-risk pregnancy care in the region. He is currently the only specialist in the North East performing Fetal Therapy, offering both diagnostic and therapeutic fetal procedures with a high degree of precision and success. With a commitment to excellence and a mission to bring world-class fetal care to the region, Dr. Satyajit Chowhan continues to be a beacon of hope for expectant mothers and unborn babies facing complex medical challenges.
