      Dr. Priyambada, Leena has done her training at multiple renowned places in India and abroad and has wide perspective of treatment in pediatric endocrinology. She developed a strong interest in endocrinology during her postgraduate years in Pediatrics and went on to specialize in Pediatric Endocrinology right after her MD, being one of the very early trainees in India to train in Pediatric endocrine in 2007. She furthered her expertise in the USA and Australia.

      Her areas of expertise includes all kinds of hormonal conditions in children and adolescents including:

      • Type 1 and type 2 Diabetes (including insulin pump and advanced diabetes technologies)
      • Growth and puberty disorders
      • Thyroid disorders
      • Obesity
      • Metabolic bone disease and calcium disorders
      • Adrenal and pituitary issues
      • Lipid disorders

      Academic and Research Contributions

      Dr. Priyambada, Leena has been actively involved in pediatric endocrinology research and academic activities. She served as a Project Officer for the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) 2022 Clinical Practice Guidelines for diabetes in children, coordinating all the 25 chapters. She is currently an editor of the current (2024-2028) ISPAD guidelines, and the only Indian (Asian) to be in this prestigious committee.

      She has been selected for prestigious academic programs including:

      • APPES Fellows School (Seoul)
      • ISPAE PET School (Delhi)
      • Travel grant awardee to the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology annual scientific meeting (Glasgow)
      • European Society of Pediatric Endocrinology (ESPE) e-learning Committee, resource limited setting
