Dr. Aakash Chandran is a Consultant in Pediatric Critical Care at Rainbow Children's Hospital, Anna Nagar, Chennai, with over seven years of experience in the management of critically ill infants and children. Trained at some of India's premier medical institutions, he is committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate, and family-centered care. He is proficient in advanced pediatric intensive care therapies, including mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), continuous kidney support therapies and bronchoscopy, enabling comprehensive care for children with complex and life-threatening illnesses.
Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Aakash has built a distinguished academic and research portfolio. He has authored over 45 publications in indexed peer-reviewed journals, including six original research articles, and has presented his work at leading scientific meetings across India and internationally. His research contributions have received accolades at national and international scientific forums, with the most notable honours being the Young Investigator Award at the European Society of Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care (ESPNIC) Congress 2026, Malta, and the Educational Initiative Award at the Asia Pacific Intensive Care Symposium (APICS) 2025, Singapore. His academic interests focus on advancing pediatric critical care through clinical research, innovation, and medical education. He believes in delivering personalized, multidisciplinary care while partnering closely with families to achieve the best possible outcomes for critically ill children
