Dr. Saumil Gaur is a distinguished Pediatrician and Pediatric Nephrologist based in Marathahalli, Bengaluru, with more than 20 years of experience in child healthcare. Renowned for his dedication to pediatric well-being, he specializes in managing complex childhood illnesses, kidney disorders, urinary tract diseases, and pediatric kidney transplantation.

Dr. Gaur completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Thrissur, Kerala, followed by an MD in Pediatrics from Lala Lajpat Rai Government Medical College, Meerut. He further pursued a two-year Fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology at St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru, gaining advanced expertise in pediatric kidney care.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Gaur served as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, where he managed a broad spectrum of pediatric conditions and contributed significantly to medical education and clinical research.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to pediatric nephrology, Dr. Gaur received the prestigious Nephrologist of the Year (National) award at the Economic Times Healthcare Awards 2023. He established and developed the Pediatric Nephrology Services at Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Marathahalli, in 2015, where the department continues to provide comprehensive care for children with complex kidney diseases. Earlier, he also founded the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at Narayana Health, Bommasandra, and initiated the Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program, successfully performing multiple pediatric kidney transplants.

A Gold Medallist during his medical training, Dr. Gaur has authored numerous national and international publications and has received several Best Research Paper awards at leading medical conferences. His research contributions have been published in reputed medical journals and continue to influence pediatric kidney care globally.

Dr. Gaur is also a respected medical educator and mentor, actively guiding postgraduate students and supervising academic research under the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) programs.
