Ms. S. Rajalakshmi P T has a Master’s degree in Neurological Physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and joined a Rainbow Children’s Hospital team as a physiotherapist in 2017. She has worked for the past 20 years in the field of Neurology and pediatric Physical Therapy.

She has undergone training programs on standardized developmental assessment and management in cerebral palsy with international faculty from the US and motor control from Canada. She has also undertaken training on Bailey‘s Development, Assessment to screen and assess developmental delay among preterm children. Her ability to connect with children has been an asset in accelerating their recovery.

She has worked as a senior physiotherapist in super specialty and multi specialty hospitals like NIMHANS, Sagar Ramakrishna hospitals. In these hospitals, she built ideal physiotherapy care for the inpatients. She has been delivering functional rehabilitation solutions for various neurological conditions like GBS, Muscular Dystrophy, Childhood Stroke, Coordination Disorders, Erb’s Palsy, Torticollis & Psychogenic Movement disorders.

She initiated and nurtured a CP Rehab work Group in 2016 which is trying to organize and deliver new research to clinical practice for the betterment of cerebral palsy children. This group works to improve the quality of CP Children’s life and their family. She also regularly conducts preventive health care programs focusing on falls, stroke and osteoporosis in the normal as well as in the disabled population.

In Rainbow Children's Hospital in addition to pediatric care, her team provides OBG services like Prenatal and postnatal exercise classes, Stress incontinence and management of perinatal complications like back pain and neck pain.
