Dr Prerna completed her post-graduation in Pediatrics from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences in 2015. She then worked as a Senior Resident for three years at Chacha Nehru Children's Hospital, New Delhi which is an autonomous multi-speciality children's hospital under the government of Delhi/NCR and associated with Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi.

She was accepted for the Pediatric Neurology Fellowship in the UK under RCPCH and worked for three years in tertiary Pediatric Neurology centres in the UK (Cardiff, Bristol). She has more than eight years of experience in Pediatrics. She has several publications to her credit in both national and international papers.
