Dr. Nataraj Palaniappan is a top General Pediatrician & Pediatric Intensivist in Guindy, Chennai. He is the Sr. Consultant in PICU & ER in the 16-bedded PICU of Rainbow Children's Hospital, Guindy, Chennai with more than 9 years of experience in the field of Pediatric Intensive Care. He completed his Pediatrics training at Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore and was an Assistant Professor in PICU in SRMC, Porur and later KMC, Manipal for four years.

He later moved to Toronto to get trained in one of the best intensive care units in the world - The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto for two years as Clinical Fellow in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine from June 2015 to June 2017. He has extensive experience in the management of transplant patients (Liver, kidney, Cardiac and BMT) and worked in both western set-up and Indian scenarios (Pediatric Intensivist for four years in Global Hospitals, Chennai).

He is well-trained in the management of patients with extracorporeal circuits ECMO, Novalung, ventricular assist device and RRT.

Dr. Nataraj has contributed significantly to book chapters related to the practice of Pediatric Critical care. He has a special interest in taking care of critically ill children post-head injury, ICP monitoring, difficult airway, Pediatric Transport and ECMO support.
