Pediatric Hematology & Oncology

The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology is a major referral center for children with:

• Leukemia
• Llymphomas
• Childhood solid tumors (cancer)
• Brain tumors

Non-malignant hematologic disorders, including:

• Hemophilia
• Sickle cell anemia
• Thalassemia
• Aplastic anemia
• Neutrophil disorders
• Anemia
• ITP coagulation disorders

Inpatient care is provided for all patients on a specialized care unit located on the third floor of “A” Block in the Banjara Hills Centre.

This unit is staffed by highly trained specialized pediatric oncology nurses, Child Life Workers, and a team of physicians.

Transfusion, infusion chemotherapy and procedures can be performed without hospital admission.

All physicians are qualified in pediatric hematology/oncology.
