Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

The level III NICU is a 40 Bed unit with a capacity to ventilate 15 babies at a time. The unit receives referrals from within the State and surroundings States.

The unit has already set a benchmark in ensuring survival of extreme preterm babies. It has established its credentials in saving the smallest and sickest babies weighing up to 650 grams. It has retrieved a large number of babies from long distance by its transport service.

Our NICU has state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities:

• The latest incubators including Giraffe incubators.
• Latest generation ventilators, oscillators and Nitric Oxide delivery facility.
• 6 high frequency oscillators.
• Inhaled nitric oxide therapy: The drug works by relaxing smooth-muscle cells in blood-vessel walls in the lungs, allowing the lungs to properly oxygenate the blood and provide it to the rest of the body. Rainbow introduced for the first time and successfully treated the highest number of babies with inhaled nitric oxide therapy in india.
• 24-hour consultant level Neonatologist cover.
