Rainbow Children’s Hospital and Perinatal Centre offers the following training programs for the doctors:

Accomodation and Stipend

Salary:
The stipend and salaries are according to the recommendations by the governing authorities for the respective teaching programs. There is no additional fee taken for any other purpose.The selection criteria are strictly on merit basis.

1. Hostel Accommodation:
All residents and students are provided semi-furnished hostel accommodation as per policy of the Institute.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Institute shall fix duties and responsibilities of all Senior and Junior Residents from time to time. They will be required to perform such work as may be needed in the legitimate interest of patient care, teaching, training and research.

Academic and Training Facilities

All the departments are engaged in teaching, training, patient care and research.
The DNB residents are rotated through general pediatric and specialty pediatrics postings whole year.In the specialty posting they work in the departments of pediatric Intensive Care,Neonatal Intensive care,pediatric Nephrology,Pediatric Hemat-oncology and pediatric neurology.
At the end of each posting they are evaluated by a written and oral examination.

Library Facilities
The Institute has a well-equipped library with facilities for loaning of library books and journals, photocopying, internet access for literature search, etc.

Computer Facilities
The Institute has a hospital-wide computer network spread all over the hospital and departments. Internet connections are available in all the departments. All faculty members, residents and students are provided with e-mail facilities. All the patient care activites are computerised with implementation of a hospital information system.

The students have direct access to international textbooks,journals and clinics through our annual subscription to various leading on-line medical libraries.

Auditorium and Seminar Rooms
The Institute has a main auditorium complex with state of art projection and multimedia facilities.

Residents
The residents at Rainbow come from practically every Indian state and form a dynamic community focussing on commitment, initiative, teamwork and leadership. The diversity of the resident body creates a dynamic learning environment that would lead you to question previously held assumptions and would expand your outlook. The common denominator among the residents is a desire to achieve in academics, their professional lives and standards of conduct. Details about the Interview process:

ALL THE INTERVIEWS ARE CONDUCTED BY PANEL OF CONSULTANTS.THE INTERVIEWS ARE ORAL AND NO WRITTEN EXAMINATION IS INVOLVED.

THE INTERVIEWS ARE CONDUCTED AS PER THE GUIDELINES OF THE RESPECTIVE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES

The time of submitting the CVs and the tentative time period of individual interviews are as follows..

A-Neonatal Fellowships (IAP) and the DNB fellowship in Neonatology:

  • Interviews are held in the last two weeks of December every year.
  • Interested candidates to send your CVs before 10th of December, so that we can call them for the interviews accordingly.
  • The final date and time of interview will be informed to the candidates who have submitted their CVs telephonically or by e-mail.

B-Pediatric Critical Care fellowship certification (IAP)

  • The interviews are held in first two weeks of January each year.
  • Interested candidates to send your CVs before 15th of December, so that we can call them for the interviews accordingly.
  • The final date and time of interview will be informed to the candidates who have submitted their CVs telephonically or by e-mail.

C- DNB Pediatrics

All the four primary and 4 post DCH candidates are recruited only once every year in the month of January. The interviews are held in the last two weeks of December. Interested candidates to submit their latest CV's containing their contact numbers and email IDs before 10th December. After finalizing the date of interview, we shall contact the candidates accordingly.
